Senior Disability Support Coach

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Senior Support Coach in our Learning & Lifestyle division based in Frankston.
You will provide support to the Support Lead to ensure smooth day to day running of the site and provide leadership to your team. You will be joining a great team, passionate about supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals, participate in activities and programs of their choice, both at Wallara and within the community.
Work pattern: Monday to Friday; 4 days 8:30am to 4:00pm, 1 day 8:00am to 4:00pm/8:30am – 4:30pm negotiable.

What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in a similar role (desirable)
- Leadership skills
- Ability to support staff with person centred goal planning and achievement
- Demonstrated experience working within the disability sector and supporting clients with support needs and goals
- A passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve the best they can – bring your special talents to their experience
- Excellent communication skills; ability to prevent and resolve issues and to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to advocate and promote community inclusion
- Excellent administration, written communication skills and computer literacy in order to complete appropriate documentation - make sure the t's are crossed and i's dotted
- Resourceful and innovative approach to creating opportunities for those we support – make social change happen
- Experience in delivering on individualised plans
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to think laterally
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Commitment to exceptional service delivery and a demonstrated professional approach to work
- Commitment to the principles of WHS, EEO, Cultural Diversity and all relevant legislation
- Certificate III in Individual Support or higher (highly desirable).
Must haves
- Right to work in Australia
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Full Victorian driver licence
- Certificate in First Aid Level 2 + CPR.
