The Role

Proofpoint is looking for a Senior Channel Account Manager, based in Sydney, responsible for the growth & transformation of our Channel ecosystem in Australia. You'll be responsible for the development & execution of Strategic Partner Sales plans with Value-Added Resellers and Value-Added Distributors.

Key traits we're looking for:

  • Experience in developing and managing partners in Australia
  • Experience working for a Cyber Security solution provider
  • Understanding what value looks like at a macro & deal level for Partners and helping Proofpoint & Partners harness joint value
  • The ability to build strong business relationships at all levels within your Partners
  • The ability to co-ordinate & drive business development campaigns within your Partners
  • Being able to co-ordinate multiple resources (internally & externally)
  • A strong understanding of the Enterprise Sales process and delivering an exceptional Partner & Customer experience.
  • Increase our share of wallet with existing Partners and acquire new Partners where required

Your day-to-day

  • Helping Partners generate Proofpoint pipeline, qualifying opportunities and closing business
  • Conduct regular sales training presentations with partner sales teams to ensure they understand and can articulate Proofpoint's Value Proposition
  • Work with the Channel Marketing team to drive marketing programs with key partners and ensure that activities tie back to a successful ROI
  • Define and deploy business plans to deepen our traction with existing channel partners, reviewing and re-assessing quarterly with Sales Management & Partner Principals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint's market position, along with complementary and competitive technologies in the marketplace
  • Co-ordinate account mapping & business development activities between Proofpoint's sales organisation and partners

What you bring to the team

  • Strong cross functional leadership and excellent communications skills to drive consensus across stakeholders internally and within partner organisation/s.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint's value
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment, to prioritise time effectively, to think big picture, and to be a pillar of leadership in the team
  • Experience managing Partners, particularly in the information security markets
  • An understanding of the partner landscape and possessing relationships with key Security partners in Australia
