Manager – Strategy and Project Development

Intellect Systems is seeking an experienced Manager – Strategy and Project Development to lead business growth initiatives and shape our market strategy from our Perth office. This role plays a pivotal part in developing and executing strategies that expand our client base, strengthen partnerships, and deliver sustainable revenue growth. Reporting directly to the President, you'll work closely with leadership, operational teams, and clients to achieve ambitious growth objectives across diverse sectors.

About the Role

The Manager – Strategy and Project Development will be instrumental in driving business expansion and fostering strategic partnerships. This is a client-facing leadership role responsible for developing business strategies, identifying new markets, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute business growth and diversification strategies aligned with company objectives
• Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring tailored and high-quality solutions
• Lead entry into new and complementary markets leveraging Intellect Systems' integrated business model
• Oversee and manage the customer relationship management (CRM) system and opportunity pipeline
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive bids, proposals, and presentations
• Lead negotiations and close deals to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums

About You

• You are a strategic and commercially minded professional who thrives on identifying opportunities and turning them into results. You combine technical understanding with strong leadership and client engagement skills.
• Qualifications and experience:
• Degree in Electrical, Software, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering, or an Electrical Trade background
• Minimum 15 years' experience in electrical construction, switchroom manufacturing, or electrical engineering
• At least 10 years' experience in business development, strategy, or sales leadership roles
• Proven ability to develop and execute successful business strategies
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Commercial acumen with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes
