Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for numbers and compliance? We're seeking a Payroll Officer to join a dynamic team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.

About the Role

As a Payroll Officer, you'll be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. You'll work closely with HR and Finance teams to deliver a seamless payroll experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly/fortnightly/monthly payrolls accurately and on time
  • Maintain employee payroll records and update changes as required
  • Interpret awards, EBAs, and contracts to ensure correct payments
  • Manage payroll queries and provide timely resolutions
  • Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with tax, superannuation, and other statutory obligations
  • Support audits and reporting requirements as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a payroll position
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Chris21, MicrOpay, ADP, MYOB, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
