If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Quality Control Officer at Real Dairy Australia - Greenacre Site.

About the Role:

As a Quality Control Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet and exceed the highest quality and food safety standards. Your main responsibilities will include conducting daily food safety and quality checks throughout the production process, from receival to dispatching, in line with our established procedures. You will be instrumental in maintaining the compliance of our quality management and food safety systems to the utmost standard.

Specifically, we have two roles available.

  1. Afternoon Shift with a roster of 2.00pm to 12.00am Monday to Thursday (inclusive).
  2. Morning Shift with a roster of 5.00am to 2.00pm Monday to Thursday (inclusive).

Key Responsibilities:

In this production floor based role, you will:

  • Conduct daily food safety and quality checks during receival, processing, finished products, storage, and dispatching.
  • Monitor and enforce GMP practices, temperature checks, quality and integrity inspections, and pre-op checks to maintain exceptional standards.
  • Inspect labels during processing and packing to ensure accurate information and correct labelling on products.
  • Take part in internal instrument calibration to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformances, including internal and external complaints, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Issue corrective action and preventative action requests when necessary.
  • Conduct glass and brittle audits and perform bucket walks for loose items.
  • Collect swabs during pre-operation checks and gather samples for external testing
  • Communicate out-of-specification results to relevant production Supervisors, maintenance, and QA teams to facilitate corrective action.
  • Conduct training for staff on induction, GMP, and other food safety and quality topics.
  • Routinely verify quality records to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Act as a backup for the night shift Quality Control and QA Officer when required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for both processes and products.
  • Day to day QA report writing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must have Food Manufacturing experience in a High Care Environment
  • Solid understanding of food safety regulations, GMP practices, and quality management systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot non-conformance promptly.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with production supervisors, maintenance, and QA teams.
  • Flexibility to work on the production floor and adapt to changing demands.
