With our head office located at Greenacre, RDA is a world class supplier of dairy-based products, services and solutions to the retail, foodservice and food ingredients markets.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our business as our Power BI Specialistat our state-of-the-art processing and packaging facility in Greenacre.

We are looking for someonewho will bring expertise in Power BI, data architecture, and reporting optimisation to review, rationalise, and migrate a large suite of information. The role will ensure reporting assets are efficient, secure, and aligned to modern data platform practices

The Role:

Duties and responsibilities will include.

  • Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using APIs.
  • Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move and transform data.
  • Manage and Maintain MS Synapse and storage.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, insights, and opportunities.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and models in MS Power BI.
  • Assists analysts with development of PowerBI reports.
  • Present findings and recommendations directly to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Continuously review and enhance reporting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Contribute to process improvements, system updates, and delivery of business initiatives using agile methods.
  • User access control base on report and report contents.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into visual solutions.
  • Schedule and publish reports to Power BI Service and manage data refresh schedules.
  • Identify data quality issues and present these to analysts and responsible business team.

Ideally, you will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in analytics, business intelligence, or insights.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality, accurate, and reliable reporting solutions.
  • Strong track record of working effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in MS Synapse, API connection , SQL with proven experience working on complex queries and data models.
  • Proficiency with data visualisation tool Power BI and Fabric.
  • Utilise tools such as SQL (Azure SQL Database), Fabric & Power BI to perform analysis and create reporting solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel to analyse advanced Excel functions as input to the design of BI solutions.
