The Opportunity:

Nepean Blue Mountains LHD is looking for motivated Advanced Trainees to provide support across its Geriatric Medicine services. You will work 5 days per week and contribute to the weekend roster, gaining broad experience in acute geriatrics and subspecialty services.

Clinical Environment:

  • Comprehensive geriatrics exposure - acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, Orthogeriatrics, perioperative medicine, consultative services, outpatient clinics, and outreach via Virtual Aged Care Services (VACS)
  • Career progression - ideal for Advanced Trainees seeking to strengthen competencies in geriatrics and internal medicine
  • Teaching hospital setting - supportive consultant supervision in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Flexible block options - choose from multiple locum dates across

  2. ASAP - 31 Jan 2026
  3. 15 Dec Jan 2026

Eligibility Criteria:

  • AHPRA General Registration
  • Advanced Trainee in Geriatric Medicine (FRACP pathway desirable)
  • NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • Australian working rights
  • Willingness to complete local credentialing and onboarding

What's Provided:

  • $150 - $200/hour depending on experience and shift type
  • Multiple block locum opportunities (Nov Jan 2026)
  • Credentialing and logistics support from our dedicated team
  • Please note: Travel and accommodation are not provided for this role
