Job Summary

As a Trainee Technician, you will gain hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and learning industry best practices. This is an entry-level role designed to train and develop you into a skilled technician with potential for career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide basic IT support for hardware, software, and networking issues under supervision
  • Assist in setup, installation, and maintenance of client systems and devices
  • Monitor network and system performance; escalate issues appropriately
  • Manage and resolve support tickets using our helpdesk system
  • Communicate professionally with clients, gathering necessary information and providing status updates
  • Participate in training programs and shadow senior technicians to build technical skills
  • Document support activities clearly and accurately

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of IT fundamentals (Windows OS, networking concepts, common applications)
  • Strong motivation to learn and grow in the IT support field
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus but not mandatory
  • Recent graduates or candidates with some IT coursework or lab experience preferred
