Squadron Energy is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Operations Planner
to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our renewable energy assets. This role is pivotal in ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and performance across our operating sites.
The role focuses on maintenance planning, asset performance monitoring, contractor coordination, and operational reporting. Working closely with site teams, central operations, asset management, and commercial stakeholders, the Operations Planner ensures that assets are managed to high standards of safety, compliance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term maintenance plans across all operating assets.
- Coordinate with site teams and service providers to ensure timely execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Monitor asset performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for optimisation.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement of asset reliability and availability.
- Ensure maintenance plans align with warranty obligations, compliance requirements, and commercial priorities.
- Assist in preparing annual operations budgets in collaboration with Asset Managers and Site Managers.
- Maintain accurate operational records, work orders, and schedules within the asset management system.
- Adhere to purchasing and expenditure procedures within approved budgets.
- Maintain professional relationships with all project stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, or a relevant trade qualification with equivalent experience.
- Background in energy, utilities, or industrial sectors in asset support, operations, or maintenance planning.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise asset management (EAM) systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar.
- Understanding of preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
- Familiarity with contractor and work order management in operational environments.
- Strong planning, coordination, and scheduling capabilities.
- Ability to interpret technical data, generate reports, and make data-informed recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Proactive, organised, and outcome-focused.
