Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Roy Morgan, Australia's most renowned and trusted market and social research company, is offering you the opportunity to join our team as a Workforce & Operations Planner, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of some of Australia's most important research projects.
This is not just another job - it's a chance to shape the future of research operations, make a real impact on project success, and contribute to insights that help Australia understand itself better.
Why Roy Morgan?
We are not your average research company. With a legacy spanning over 80 years, we have earned an unparalleled reputation for accuracy, reliability, and meaningful insights. When you join Roy Morgan, you become part of a legacy that has helped leading organisations in the public and private sectors make better, more informed business decisions.
Our work matters, and as our Workforce & Operations Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our projects are resourced, coordinated, and delivered successfully.
What Makes This Role Special?
This role blends strategic workforce management with hands-on operational delivery. You will be the central link between projects, people, and operations - balancing long-term resource planning with the day-to-day realities of getting projects delivered on time.
You'll not only forecast and model demand months in advance but also roll up your sleeves to solve resourcing challenges, adjust plans when priorities shift, and keep projects moving. It's a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys both the big-picture view and the on-the-ground detail, and who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Your work will directly shape the success of our projects and ensure Roy Morgan continues to deliver high-quality research to clients across Australia.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain a live view of workforce availability and capacity across all projects.
- Anticipate and resolve workforce gaps, working closely with Recruitment and Field Managers to ensure coverage in the right locations at the right times.
- Lead workforce planning cycles - from short-term forecasts through to quarterly and annual outlooks.
- Partner with Operations, Project Managers, and Field Leaders to align workforce supply with business priorities.
- Provide reporting, insights, and scenario modelling to guide operational and resourcing decisions.
- Actively drive process improvements, implementing smarter ways of working to optimise resources.
- Step in directly to resolve urgent resourcing or operational challenges - ensuring delivery is never compromised.
What You Bring
- 3-5 years in workforce planning, scheduling, or operations management for large casual workforces (field research, contact centre, logistics, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to both design workforce plans and execute them personally at scale.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with workforce or planning systems (Deputy, Kronos, Workday, etc. experience valued).
- Strong data interpretation, forecasting, and scenario-modelling skills.
- Exceptional communication skills - able to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and build strong working relationships across the business.
- A continuous-improvement mindset, with a track record of spotting inefficiencies and implementing practical operational solutions
