Project Manager (12-Month Contract)

Location:
Broadmeadows, VIC (2–3 days onsite per week)

Contract:
12 months (initial) | Max Day Rate - $675 a day inc super

Our client, a global leader in the pharmaceutical sector is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to join their team on an initial 12-month contract. This role will play a key part in managing and delivering small to medium-scale engineering and capital projects within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the
Senior Project Manager
, the Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of projects that ensure compliance, efficiency, and operational excellence.

This role will see you work both collaboratively in the Broadmeadows facility (2–3 days per week) and remotely, interacting closely with engineering, quality, operations, and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver small to medium-sized capital and engineering projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Support preparation and approval of
    Capital Expenditure Proposals (CAPEX)
    .
  • Oversee project documentation including technical design, qualification, and commissioning deliverables.
  • Manage supplier and contractor engagement, including preparation of specifications, tenders, and contracts.
  • Ensure strict compliance with
    GxP
    ,
    EHS
    , and quality management systems.
  • Monitor risk, schedule, and cost performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing small to medium projects in a
    GMP or regulated manufacturing
    environment (pharma/biotech preferred).
  • Strong understanding of
    project management methodologies
    ,
    risk management
    , and
    contract administration
    .
  • Experience with
    MS Project
    and other MS Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise across technical and operational teams.
  • Sound technical knowledge in an engineering discipline, with the ability to support commissioning and qualification..
