Perilya Broken Hill Ltd is currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced underground mining operators, for the following challenging and rewarding positions:

• Underground Truck Drivers
• Grader Operator
• Service Crew Operators

The opportunity

You will be part of a supportive team that work in a busy environment.  The main responsibilities of each role are:

Underground Truck Drivers

• Safe and efficient operation of underground haul trucks to transport ore and waste from production areas to designated locations.
• Conducting pre-start checks and maintaining equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Adhering to traffic management rules and mine safety procedures at all times.
• Assisting with general underground duties as required to support production targets.

Grader Operator

• Operating graders to construct, maintain, and repair underground roadways, declines, and working areas.
• Ensuring roads are safe, well-drained, and properly graded to minimise wear on haulage equipment.
• Working closely with supervisors and other operators to prioritise roadworks for production and development needs.
• Performing daily checks and minor maintenance on grader equipment.

Service Crew Operators

• Installation, extension, and maintenance of underground services, including ventilation, water, compressed air etc.
• Operating light vehicles and materials handling equipment to transport services and supplies.
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in working areas to ensure safety and efficiency.

Drawing upon your proven experience in underground mining operations, you will be renowned for your strong focus and commitment to safety.  You will be a self-motivated worker and be able to work with minimum supervision.

• Unrestricted manual drivers' licence
• Excellent communication skills
• Be a great team player who wants the team to succeed
• An independence that allows you to complete tasks and achieve outcomes
• Proactively identify hazards and assess risks
• Be adaptable and ready to find solutions to challenges.
