The Opportunity

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Jumbo Operators to join our Underground Mining team at Southern Operations in Broken Hill. These full-time positions offers the chance to work as part of a high-performing team, contributing to the safe and productive development of our underground mine.

This is an excellent opportunity for multi-skilled underground miners who are ready to take the next step or further their career in jumbo operation. You'll play a key role in advancing production targets while maintaining safety, equipment care, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating Jumbo development drills in line with site procedures and targets

• Performing setup and installation of ground support and services

• Pre-start checks and routine maintenance of drilling equipment

• Monitoring ground conditions and identifying hazards

• Working closely with the shift supervisor and other underground personnel

• Accurately completing shift reports and development records

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience operating Jumbo drills in an underground mining environment
• Relevant underground mining and equipment operation tickets
• A proactive attitude to safety and risk identification
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• A current manual driver's licence
