DUTIES:

  • Performing underground mining activities with a focus on installing and maintaining ventilation devices, strata support and roof bolt installation.
  • Carrying out personal risk assessment, hazard identification and other safety requirements relevant to the role.
  • Operation of plant and equipment used in an underground mining environment.
  • Operation of vehicles both underground and surface.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Hazzard and safety awareness and reporting any potential hazards to relevant personnel.
  • Adherence to the mine site safety and health system.
  • Ensuring safety of self and fellow colleagues.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Demonstrated Underground Coal experience as an Operator is essential.
  • Experience with a focus on Ventilation work is highly desirable.
  • Training transcripts and/or qualifications & tickets.
  • A passion for safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong passion for safety.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Valid driver's licence
