Lead Data Engineer

Location: ACT
Are you a data engineering expert ready to help secure Australia's digital frontlines? We are seeking two experienced Lead Data Engineers to support a high-impact cyber hygiene improvement program. You'll play a pivotal role in designing and developing scalable systems, working with large data sets, and applying your cloud and programming expertise in a high-security environment. This is a 12-month contract with potential extensions, ideal for candidates who thrive in technically demanding and mission-driven settings.

Key Duties:

  • Design and develop software and cloud infrastructure for a micro-service architecture measurement system
  • Maintain the accuracy of scanning and attribution data across large-scale datasets
  • Write and maintain code using best practices, including source control and infrastructure as code
  • Support planning, data analysis, and delivery of high-priority program activities

Key Criteria:

  • Skilled in automating processes in cloud environments and developing in Python or Terraform
  • Proficient with Linux, IP networking, and SQL databases
  • Experienced in collaborative development environments
  • Prior experience with attack surface management projects
