Position Overview

This is a unique opportunity to achieve significant impact in the for-purpose sector. This role blends hands-on project delivery with strategic thinking. You will work closely with the CEO and the team to deliver high-quality consultancy services to for-purpose Boards and Executives, helping to shape the future of philanthropy and fundraising in Australia.

In addition to client-facing work, the role also involves contributing to
Noble Ambition's flagship initiatives
, including the
She Gives campaign
and other projects that advance leadership and innovation in philanthropy.

This role offers opportunities to:

  • Engage with inspiring, impactful and ambitious for-purpose leaders.
  • Assess, advise, learn and apply best-practice strategies in philanthropy, fundraising, and Board leadership.
  • Collaborate with high-performing for-purpose organisations nationally.
  • Shape and drive an ambitious agenda for leadership impact in philanthropy.
  • Work across the philanthropic and fundraising sector including intermediaries, funders and individual donors.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Delivery:

Work closely with the CEO and the wider team as well as working independently to deliver consultancy projects, including stakeholder interviews, research, strategic planning, and report development.

  • Support facilitated Board and Executive workshops from initial project scoping to final delivery.
  • Provide outstanding client service, with effective executive-level communication and high-quality deliverables.

2. Stakeholder Engagement & Campaign Delivery:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, sector leaders, Board members, and philanthropists.
  • Provide advice and client support across key initiatives, including Noble Ambition-led campaigns such as
    She Gives
    and other strategic philanthropic collaborations.
  • Contribute to the planning and coordination of campaign activities — including stakeholder engagement, storytelling, events, research and communications.
  • Actively engage with clients and partners to ensure highly professional, timebound impactful outcomes.

3. Program Excellence and Business Development:

  • Collaborate with the Team to develop and refine service offerings and project strategies.
  • Deliver excellence across multiple projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with client goals.
  • Identify and secure new clients, contributing to Noble Ambition's growth, impact and values alignment.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Major gifts and philanthropy expertise, including strategy, planning and delivery.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail across reports, proposals, strategic assessments and executive communications.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment with professionalism under pressure and confidence engaging stakeholders at the highest level.
  • Strong record of Executive and Board stakeholder engagement; trusted adviser with exceptional relationship skills.
  • Advanced research, analysis and critical thinking; able to synthesise complex information into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative self-starter who works independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Proven business development capability, building and nurturing client relationships based on integrity and long-term trust.
  • Strong knowledge of the for-purpose sector; experience delivering campaign initiatives including events, storytelling, partnerships and research coordination.
