About Us
Apunipima Cape York Health Council is a community controlled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health service, which provides culturally appropriate, family centred, primary health care services to the communities and people of Cape York.
About the Opportunity
The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for providing high level administrative support to the Human Resources functions and team. The Human Resources Administrator is the first point of contact for a wide range of general Human Resources enquiries and supports the recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes. It also coordinates information flows for all people processes, contributing to the delivery of effective and efficient Human Resources activities and programs. This position is part time, permanent - working 20 hours per week.
This position is identified where, under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community.
About You
We are seeking applicants who have:

Experience in a Human Resources or administrative support role in a dynamic work environment.
-
Exceptional customer service focus and demonstrable experience with both internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including using and maintaining database systems.

Strong time management and organisational skills.
-
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail.

Basic understanding of Human Resources practice.

Sound communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide support and advice in relation to Human Resources administration processes.

A high level of initiative and the ability to develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and required outcomes.

High level computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite and data management systems.

Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customs.

Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community control.
Mandatory Requirements:

Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent and/or higher qualification

Australian Federal Police Check or willing to obtain
-
Current Blue Card or willing and able to obtain prior to commencement
