As a Senior Criminal Lawyer, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive legal services to a diverse range of clients, specialising in criminal law matters. What you'll be doing:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of criminal proceedings, including trials, appeals, and sentencing hearings
  • Conduct thorough legal research, analysis, and case preparation to build strong defence strategies
  • Negotiate with prosecutors and other parties to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Provide clear and concise advice to clients on their legal rights and options
  • Mentor and support more junior members of the legal team

What we're looking for:

  • A minimum of 2 years of post-admission experience (PAE) in criminal law
  • Demonstrated expertise in criminal law proceedings, including trial advocacy and sentencing
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high professional standards
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
