Role Purpose
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be the driving force behind Droppoint's operations and customer delivery nationwide. This role is about shaping how we scale, lead, and deliver value to our customers at speed and quality that sets us apart.
Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, the COO will lead all operational functions including logistics, warehousing, fulfilment, customer onboarding, service delivery, and commercial partner management. You will translate strategy into execution, ensuring Droppoint delivers industry-leading efficiency and customer outcomes while managing cost and commercial performance.

Droppoint is headquartered in Wollongong. The COO is required to spend 2-3 days a week in Wollongong.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership for Droppoint's operations across logistics operations, warehousing, service delivery, and customer onboarding.
- Drive commercial and financial performance through effective COGS management, including monitoring margins, cost drivers, and supplier terms.
- Identify, secure, and manage key strategic partnerships, ensuring alignment with business needs and long-term value creation.
- Lead commercial negotiations with strategic partners at contract commencement, renewal, price review, and scope changes.
- Oversee customer onboarding as a critical revenue-enablement function, ensuring timely, accurate, and scalable implementation of client services.
- Guide national service teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes in customer support, logistics coordination, and fulfilment.
- Develop and track KPIs across operations, ensuring proactive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing leadership team that fosters effectiveness, accountability, and employee engagement.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years in senior operational leadership roles; experience managing distributed and cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated success in partner negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship governance
- Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent operational excellence certifications (desirable)
- Strong ERP/WMS knowledge, financial performance analysis, operational dashboards (e.g. Power BI)
- Strategic and continuous improvement mindset with an ability to execute at pace
- Cross-functional leadership and collaboration
- Change management and resilience
