About the School

About the Role
As the Family Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families to transition into school, establish positive attendance and behaviour patterns, and access external services to reduce barriers to learning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with external partners to drive positive outcomes for families and children.
- Working with school staff to understand students' needs and connect families with relevant services.
- Building and sustaining positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community services.
- Facilitating access to specialist interventions and supporting engagement with the NDIS.
- Using data to assess the effectiveness of support measures and improve student outcomes.
This role would suit someone passionate about supporting children and families, with a focus on improving student engagement and success.
About You
The following traits would be beneficial:
- Experience working with vulnerable children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with students, families, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of early childhood services and transition processes into primary education.
- Ability to identify and connect families with appropriate government and non-government services.
- Proficiency in using data to inform decision-making and measure outcomes.
Mandatory Requirements
It is a mandatory condition of this role that you:
- Possess a current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
- Possess a current driver's licence.
- Be available to work some after-hours as required.
- Be willing and able to travel as required.
