Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned technology leader to take on a pivotal role as Senior Manager – Data Engineering, responsible for shaping the future of our enterprise data and CRM platforms. This role offers the chance to lead a high-impact function at the heart of the business, working directly with the Head of Data & Enterprise to drive both innovation and operational excellence.

The portfolio you will lead is broad and strategically significant, with a strong focus on our enterprise data platform (around 70% of the role) and a complementary focus on CRM (around 30%). You will be the custodian of these platforms, ensuring their stability, scalability, and compliance, while also setting the vision for how they evolve in the years ahead. That means guiding the engineering team, working closely with vendors and partners, and ensuring that contracts, budgets, and operations are managed effectively.

This is a leadership role that balances strategy with delivery. You will be expected to engage with senior stakeholders across the business, build strong relationships, and translate business needs into platform improvements that enable advanced analytics and streamline enterprise processes across HR, Finance, Leasing, and CRM systems. At the same time, you will provide direction to a capable engineering team and optimise the architecture of our Google Cloud–based platform, bringing forward ideas and improvements in line with modern cloud technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Redshift.

We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation in data engineering and architecture, but equally, someone who understands how to lead within a complex enterprise environment. You should have experience managing engineering teams and large-scale platforms, be confident in vendor and budget management, and be comfortable making decisions that balance innovation with cost discipline. Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who can communicate clearly, influence at senior levels, and bring an enterprise mindset to the challenges of operating within a lean technology budget.
