About Matsa

Matsa Resources has recently commenced mining at the Devon Pit Gold Mine and is expanding its technical team. We're a well-funded gold exploration and producing company focused on the Lake Carey Gold Project (1Moz resource) south of Laverton, which includes Devon, Fortitude, Fortitude North and Red October.

The Role

We are seeking a
Superintendent Mine Geology
to lead geology functions at Devon Pit and support broader project work. This role will be hands-on across production and near-mine exploration, with responsibilities including:

  • Ensuring alignment of geology function to the mine plan and schedules
  • Oversee daily, weekly and monthly work plans to ensure delivery of production targets
  • Resource to grade control to as mined to processing reconciliations
  • Ensure geology, mine planning and scheduling are aligned for the optimal performance of the operation and extraction of the orebody
  • Geological systems and database management
  • Mentoring staff and working with operations teams

About You

  • Degree in Geology or related discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision of technical staff, contractors and consultants
  • Strong open-pit gold geology experience
  • Proven skills in grade control, reconciliation and reporting
  • Agility, problem solving, thinking ahead and able to provide well thought out plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent with mining software (Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog or similar)
  • Leadership ability with a practical, hands-on approach
