Ongoing Part Time, minimum 32.0 hours per fortnight

We are seeking a professional, reliable and compassionate Administration Support Officer to join our team in the Oncology Day Unit at BRHS. This permanent part-time role supports a small, specialised team providing essential clerical support to both patients and staff. You'll manage treatment and specialist bookings, patient intake, reception duties and day-to-day admin tasks that keep the unit running smoothly. If you're organised, people-focused, and looking for meaningful work in a calm and structured weekday environment, we'd love to hear from you.

The Position:

This front-of-house role provides high-quality customer service and essential administrative support to the Oncology Medical Admission Day Unit and nursing team. Responsibilities include coordinating patient intake (MADU and Oncology/Haematology), managing specialist and treatment appointments using electronic booking systems, liaising with clinical and support teams, and performing related clerical tasks.

Key selection criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in administration with experience in customer focused front-line services
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional, person-centered approach and the ability to communicate respectfully with patients, families, clinicians, and external health providers
  • Compassionate, clear and confident written and spoken communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook with fast and accurate data entry skills and the proven ability to learn new systems.
  • A genuine interest in supporting oncology and haematology services, with sensitivity to the needs of patients receiving treatment.
