Key responsibilities-
Lead and manage the development engineering team to achieve council's strategic and operational goals

Provide expert engineering advice and approvals for civil infrastructure and development applications
-
Oversee subdivision design, construction, and inspection processes
-
Drive cross-functional collaboration and represent council in negotiations with developers and utilities
-
Manage complex projects and contracts with a focus on safety, compliance, and risk
-
Contribute to group-level initiatives, special projects and strategic planning
-
Mentor, coach and develop team members for performance and growth
-
Deliver high-quality reports, submissions, and briefings to senior stakeholders
-
Degree-qualified Civil Engineer with extensive industry experience
-
Proven leadership experience in a complex, multidisciplinary environment
-
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
-
Deep understanding of civil design, risk, and financial management
-
Base salary between $119,986.67 and $139,773.92 will be offered (dependent on skills and experience % superannuation
