Engineering Officer – Civil Designer

Help shape the spaces our community relies on through smart, practical civil design solutions. In this role, you'll deliver detailed designs and support a range of civil infrastructure projects, from roads and drainage to pathways and car parks.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare designs, drawings, estimates and reports for civil infrastructure projects
  • Deliver practical, cost-effective solutions that minimise public disruption
  • Use civil design software to produce accurate plans to drafting standards
  • Analyse data to ensure projects meet engineering and safety standards
  • Support surveys, site set-out, and project delivery
  • Liaise with contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Assist with specifications, tenders and contract documentation
  • Take part in peer reviews and continuous improvement of design processes
About you
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Skilled in Civil 3D and Civil Site Design or similar design software (or ready to learn)
  • At least 2–3 years' experience in civil design and documentation
  • Strong communication, planning and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Holds a valid driver's licence and white card
