SafeWork NSW is seeking experienced and motivated professionals to join SafeWork NSW as a State Inspector.

The State Inspector is the highest-level inspector grade in SafeWork NSW.
As a State Inspector working in the field of Return to Work (RTW) you will utilise your strategic leadership skills to design and implement regulatory interventions to secure NSW workers' health and safety as well as their return to and recovery at work, and/or lead and support other SafeWork inspectors in, complex inspections and compliance activities that directly contribute to ensuring NSW workplaces meet their obligations to return injured workers to the workplace in accordance with NSW Work Health and Safety, Workers Compensation and Injury Management laws.
As a State Inspector working in the field of Psychosocial, you will utilise your strategic leadership skills to design and implement regulatory interventions to secure NSW workers' psychosocial health and safety. and/or lead and support other SafeWork inspectors in, complex inspections and compliance activities that directly contribute to ensuring NSW workplaces meet their obligations to return injured workers to the workplace in accordance with NSW Work Health and Safety, Workers Compensation and Injury Management laws.
In leading the investigation of WHS matters on behalf of SafeWork NSW, the Investigations State Inspector will be applying a dedicated focus on improving and supporting SafeWork NSW delivering escalated compliance and enforcement outcomes across all regulatory priorities. This includes investigation of matters related to psychosocial risk and harm (including sexual harassment and assault) as well as investigation of potential risk-based contraventions of Work Health and Safety legislation.
Ideal candidates will be passionate about leading and building internal stakeholder relationships to support the resolution of complex regulatory problems in a professional and customer-focused manner. Ideal candidates will also have strong leadership and mentoring skills.
