Job Description Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join Service Stream's ODM business.
About the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent programs, including trial programs, new work types (eg.C2P, HFC, MDU) & business initiatives on the NBN On Demand Module. This role plays a critical part in standing up new programs, ensuring they are effectively scoped, planned, resourced, and delivered in alignment with strategic objectives. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate resources, manage stakeholder relationships, and monitor project performance throughout the lifecycle.
In addition to core project management responsibilities, the role will have oversight of several key support functions, including document control, quality assurance, defect management, and compliance monitoring. The successful candidate will bring a strong ability to manage complexity, drive continuous improvement, and maintain a high standard of governance across all assigned activities.
Key responsibilities
- Scope, plan, and initiate new programs and work types in alignment with organisational strategy.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent trial programs and work parcels.
- Monitor project performance against scope, time, cost, and quality objectives.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and engagement across all project phases.
- Provide regular updates and reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and collaboration.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors as needed for execution.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
- Oversee compliance monitoring and reporting.
- Maintain oversight of quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery performance and outcomes.
- Implement structured processes for tracking and resolving defects and issues.
- Ensure timely resolution and documentation to minimize rework and maintain quality.
- Establish and manage robust document control practices to ensure version control, accessibility, and accuracy of project documentation.
- Meet or exceed financial targets as set by Project Director
Key Experience :
- Demonstrated major project experience, a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, leading a team, managing budgets, costs, consultants, and clients
- Significant experience in managing Telecommunication rollout projects end to end.
- Experience with NBN Projected Demand & MDU programs advantageous
- Strong understanding of NBN Network, process & procedures.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance
- Solid working knowledge of Occupation Health and Safety.
- Material Management including FIM/FIM, warehousing, consumables
- Best practice site deployment methodologies
- Excellent client management Skills
- Commercial Acumen and problem-solving skills
