The Hotel Implementation Manager is responsible for leading the full operational setup of new hotel openings across multiple states nationally, with a primary focus on establishing and launching the housekeeping department. This includes recruitment, interviewing, team structuring, training, onboarding, SOP development, and operational readiness.

The role ensures consistency, quality, and operational excellence nationwide and supports a smooth handover to the Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

Hotel Pre-Opening & Project Implementation

  • Lead the end-to-end setup of housekeeping operations for new hotel openings nationally.

  • Develop pre-opening project plans, timelines, and checklists to be used consistently across all sites.

  • Coordinate with hotel owners, management, contractors, and internal teams to ensure operational readiness.

  • Oversee procurement and setup of housekeeping equipment, chemicals, trolleys, linen, stock rooms, and amenities.

  • Conduct site inspections across different locations to ensure compliance with brand standards, operational procedures, and WHS requirements.

Recruitment, Interviewing & Team Setup

  • Plan staffing models, organisational charts, and workforce requirements for each new site.

  • Conduct interviews for supervisors, room attendants, and housekeeping staff.

  • Coordinate with HR on onboarding, documentation, and compliance.

  • Build and structure housekeeping teams to ensure full staffing prior to opening.

Training & Operational Readiness

  • Develop and deliver training programs for housekeeping staff and supervisors.

  • Train teams in cleaning standards, productivity, safety, chemical handling, and equipment use.

  • Conduct mock cleans, trial shifts, and operational readiness assessments.

  • Ensure SOPs, manuals, and checklists are implemented and understood by all staff.

Operational Excellence & Standardisation

  • Implement standard housekeeping procedures, inspection checklists, and operational tools across all sites nationally.

  • Conduct audits before and after opening to ensure compliance and quality standards.

  • Identify and resolve operational issues during the setup phase.

Handover to Operations

  • Prepare detailed handover packs for the Operations team, including staffing, inventory, SOPs, risks, and ongoing requirements.

  • Ensure the site is fully operational, trained, and compliant before opening.

  • Provide post-opening support to ensure stability and service quality.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare implementation progress reports, post-opening evaluations, and summaries for senior management.

  • Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and team readiness.

  • Support rollout of new tools, systems, and housekeeping procedures nationwide.
