We're an iconic Brisbane steakhouse seeking a motivated leader to guide our team and uphold the Norman culture. With our second venue, Norman Northside, opening in Enoggera in late 2026, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a Brisbane institution. We're looking for a hands-on manager with sharp attention to detail, a passion for hospitality, and the drive to thrive in a busy, high-energy venue.

About the Role

As Venue Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a busy dining venue. You'll ensure service runs seamlessly, uphold high standards of food and beverage presentation, and create a welcoming experience for every guest. This is a hands-on leadership position, requiring a strong presence on the floor while also managing the operational responsibilities that keep the venue running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a large front-of-house team.
  • Drive service excellence and ensure a consistently high standard of guest experience.
  • Oversee daily operations, including rostering, compliance, and workplace health and safety.
  • Work with the kitchen team to maintain consistency and quality of meals.
  • Manage stock, costs, and wage control, achieving required margins.
  • Ensure the venue remains clean, presentable, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Build strong rapport with guests while maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
  • Complete reconciliations, reporting, and operational tasks accurately and on time.

About You

  • Proven leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or hospitality venue.
  • Strong knowledge of table service, wine, and beverage operations.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of TAB & Gaming
  • Ability to train, motivate, and retain staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in rostering, stock control, and cost management.
  • Current RSA, RSG, and RMLV certifications.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
