About the role:
Working closely with key divisional executives in the Mental Health and Wellbeing and eHealth divisions, including the Business Sponsor, the Change Manager will play a key role in the successful implementation and adoption of the new contemporary information system for the reformed mental health service system. In partnership with and supporting the work led by the Digital Health team in eHealth, this role will ensure that teams are supported through the transition of old to new systems, including sector engagement, communication, and managing issues as part of the initial technical deployment through to full implementation in 2027.
This role requires strong policy acumen to identify relevant opportunities to define inputs into the system and related change processes to meet requirements, and business acumen to implement changes to processes, systems and technology that enable this major ICT system implementation, driven by passion to achieve a positive, effective and sustainable user experience. The role's primary focus is on minimising any adverse effects of changes and optimising positive results for the new ICT system, addressing the human aspect of change, including understanding the change benefits and impacts on teams internally to the Department and in mental health services, and in facilitating adaptation to new policies and practices.
