THE ROLE

Palisade Business Consulting, a boutique professional services firm based in Perth, Western Australia, is seeking a bookkeeper/graduate accountant to join our team in a full-time capacity.

On the job training will be provided, so whilst experience is desirable, the role is also open to graduates in accounting (or similar) looking for their first step into professional services.

A strong work ethic, common sense and good communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the role, you will:

· Handle all aspects of client's financial accounts

· Coding of client financial data and transactions

· Processing client payroll requirements

· Preparation of BAS, IAS etc

  • Preparation of creditor payments.
  • Reconciliation of accounts to Trial Balance

· Preparation of periodic financial management reports (monthly, quarterly etc) including undertaking all necessary reconciliations etc

· Filing and archiving of records.

· Other administration tasks as required.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have at least 1 year experience as a Bookkeeper in Australia or be a graduate in accounting (or similar) looking for your first step into professional practice. Your experiences should include:

  • Knowledge of MYOB and Xero including data entry and payroll functions (training will also be provided).
  • A strong client focus and ability to work in a team
  • Common sense
