Position Overview:

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our dynamic team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including residential homes, community settings, and educational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and medication administration.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, choice, and dignity.
  • Implement individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist individuals in accessing community resources and participating in social and recreational activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times, adhering to best practices and protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
  • Previous experience working in the disability support sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (essential).
