We're looking for a Recruitment Specialist to jump in and make an impact This maternity leave contract is your chance to lead end-to-end recruitment at CoAct, all while being part of a passionate, purpose-driven People & Culture team.

About the role

Your industry knowledge will be key in attracting top talent to CoAct, using strategies such as employer branding and candidate experience best practices to promote our values and purpose.

You will play a pivotal role in partnering with hiring managers and building strong working relationships to ensure clear expectations are set for both candidates and interview panel members.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing and crafting position descriptions that align with business needs
  • Planning interview and selection processes, including screening calls, assessments, and both online and in-person interviews
  • Preparing and issuing job offer letters
  • Conducting compensation and benefits analysis to support fair and competitive offers
  • Screening candidate resumes and job applications
  • Arranging pre-employment background checks and reference screenings
  • Responding promptly to internal applicant queries and requests
  • Work closely with the People and Culture Support Officer to provide a smooth and positive onboarding experience
  • Reviewing and improving recruitment and selection processes to enhance efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with interview documentation requirements
  • Contributing to a consistent and positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment journey

A little about you

  • A self-starter mindset, motivated, confident, and driven
  • Comfortable having honest and difficult conversations with tact
  • Ability to manage a demanding and variable workload
  • Full-cycle recruitment experience, including various selection and evaluation methods
  • Proactive sourcing and lead generation using job platforms
  • Familiarity with ATS and candidate management systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to document and follow processes
  • Experience within the employment services sector is highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field
