Where you'll be working
John Hunter Hospital is a major tertiary referral centre offering a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, critical care, and maternity services. As part of a dynamic team of 25 dietitians working across John Hunter Hospital (JHH), Belmont District Hospital (BDH), and Rankin Park Centre (RPC), you will collaborate with professionals spanning new graduates through to clinical specialists, educators, and leaders. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to develop and broaden your dietetic experience within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. What you'll be doing

An exciting part time Dietitian opportunity is available at John Hunter Hospital, starting as soon as possible and continuing until March 2026. Interviews will be held between 13–18 November.
In this role, you'll provide high-quality, patient-centred nutrition care and counselling to referred inpatients, covering a medical and/or orthopaedic caseload (with potential for change to meet service needs). You'll be a valued member of a multidisciplinary clinical team, acting as a key nutrition consultant to support the best outcomes for patients.
As part of a vibrant and collaborative department, you'll:
- Participate in monthly team meetings that shape service direction and innovation.
- Engage in continuing professional development sessions designed to enhance your skills and career growth.
- Once Level 2 competency is achieved, have the opportunity to supervise dietetic students and mentor junior staff.

Requirements
- Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
