Are you passionate about supporting women's health? We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Administrative Officer to join our dynamic Maternity and Gynaecology Outpatient Team at John Hunter Hospital.
In this frontline role, you will be the first point of contact for women and families accessing our services – providing exceptional administrative support that contributes to high-quality care.
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Provide reception and front-desk services to women attending outpatient clinics.
- Update and maintain accurate patient details in hospital systems.
- Manage incoming phone calls, enquiries, and appointment bookings.
- Process referrals and coordinate timely documentation.
- Assist with filing and the handling of paper-based medical records.
- Support the management and scheduling of satellite clinics, ensuring seamless care coordination across services.
This is afast-paced and rewarding role requiring a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a compassionate approach to patient interaction.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience in an administrative or reception-based role (healthcare experience desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using patient management systems and Microsoft Office.
- The ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- A team-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality service.
