About Us

The Swan Hill Guardian and Gannawarra Times are trusted local newspapers dedicated to keeping our communities informed and supporting local businesses with effective advertising solutions. As part of a growing group of independent publishers, we are expanding our team and are looking for a motivated professional to join us.

This full-time position is based in Swan Hill.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of clients while developing new business opportunities
  • Provide expert advertising advice and create tailored media schedules to meet client needs
  • Develop sales proposals and deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations
  • Conduct telemarketing and face-to-face meetings with clients to build strong, long-term relationships
  • Research and identify strategic marketing opportunities for local businesses
  • Oversee advertising campaigns, ensuring smooth execution in both print and digital platforms

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine interest in media, marketing and the advertising industry
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong client rapport
  • Confidence in both face-to-face and phone sales (experience is an advantage, but not essential)
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer literacy and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude with a focus on achieving results and providing outstanding client service
  • An eye for design and creativity in developing advertising solutions
