The Department of Housing and Works delivers and maintains essential social housing and critical infrastructure across Western Australia—including schools, hospitals and police facilities.

About The Role:
Our Senior Human Resources Consultants support the Manager and Assistant Director Workforce Services in developing and implementing values-based HR practices to deliver contemporary HR services to the business.
In addition to delivering outcomes focussing on recruitment and establishment, and employee and industrial relations, you will utilise your growth mindset to coach and mentor other team members and help build capability across the Workforce Services team. Your people skills will enable you to build and leverage business relationships across the Department, role modelling our values and culture. Experience in navigating change, complex HR issues, and an understanding of diversity and inclusion issues, is vital in these roles.

In particular, we are looking for candidates who have:
- Skills and experience in a variety of HR functions, enabling you to demonstrate an HR generalist approach to the role.
- Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to develop and implement values-based solutions that align with public sector frameworks and meet business needs.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, enabling you to liaise with a range of stakeholders and deliver a customer-centric service.
The position operates in Personal Leadership context. This means that you are required to demonstrate personal accountability for delivering excellence and support your team and agency in delivering strategic goals. You will be expected to build and nurture relationships and be willing to seek feedback and learn.
