The Opportunity

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for undertaking various financial accounting and reporting activities which ensures the effective operation of their Business Units. The Financial Accountant role is crucial in supporting operations to deliver accurate and timely financial information and analysis.

This is a one-year, fixed-term role based at our Head Office in Osborne Park.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to practically apply to MinRes
  • Sound awareness of how the BU/Project impacts and operates within the wider business
  • Collaboration with ops finance, corporate finance and operations
  • Prioritises and plans tasks effectively.  Ensures that Senior Management Accountant (SMA) is kept up to date and are aware of pressures on timelines
  • Ability to assess whether the financial information is accurate and aligns to drivers
  • Clear communication to stakeholders, especially fellow team members and management
  • Driven to continuously improve processes – identifying non value-add processes/transactions, planning and assisting with change management

What is Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or similar
  • CA/CPA membership
  • Minimum 3 years in audit or financial accounting experience
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
