Our Opportunity

Work Location: Eliwana - Fortescue's Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

Roster: 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Shutdown Superintendent, the Shutdown Coordinator's role is to deliver safe and successful shutdown campaigns, including shutdown execution, scope management and vendor engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate a strong safety commitment in line with the Fortescue valuesPlan shutdown execution framework within a planning rhythm, working closely with asset owners, planning department and shutdown schedulersDevelop resource requirements and engage vendor partners for all shutdown outagesManage asset reliability with maintenance tasks by engaging with the asset owners and planning against budgetary requirementsManagement of vendor resources ensuring safety of personnel, quality of work completed and managing completion against planned and scheduled maintenanceReview and optimise shutdown scopesLead the execution of shutdowns Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in shutdowns and mechanical maintenance within a fixed plant processing facility leading trade personnel
  • Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large scale processing plant
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills  
  • Ability to work cohesively in a highly dynamic team environment
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, and the ability to meet deadlines and milestones
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft office and computerised maintenance management systems, SAP experience is desirable
  • Mechanical Trade Qualification
