About the role

Fire 2000 Fire Services is seeking an experienced Dry Fire and/or Portables Service Technician to join our team in Molendinar, Queensland. This full-time role is responsible for providing expert servicing and maintenance of dry fire protection systems, exit and emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and fire hose reels ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' premises.

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on fire protection systems, including inspections, testing, and repairs
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, implementing effective solutions to restore full functionality
  • Maintain detailed records of all service activities and provide comprehensive reports to clients
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with the broader team to share knowledge and continuously improve service delivery

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Dry Fire Service Technician, with an understanding of fire protection systems
  • Relevant technical qualifications, such as a Certificate II or Certificate III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve system issues
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and collaborate with the wider team
  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to client sites as required
  • Company vehicle
