In this position you will:

  • Provide strategic legal advice on high-risk and sensitive matters.
  • Lead the branch across areas such as statutory interpretation, IP, contracts, workplace law, and litigation.
  • Drive digital transformation and data analytics for operational efficiency.
  • Develop frameworks for proactive legal and legislative service management.
  • Advise on legislative reforms to align with government policy.
  • Manage procurement and relationships with external legal providers.

Skills / Experience:

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Admission as a lawyer with ~10+ years PAE, including senior legal leadership.
  • Experience advising government or working in public sector environments.
  • Strong values-based leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High-level legal expertise and commercial acumen.
  • Analytical ability to improve systems and processes.
  • Integrity, sound judgement, adaptability, and outcome focus.
