About the role

Goulburn Motor Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Parts Interpreter to join our team in Shepparton, VIC. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career in the automotive industry and develop your skills in parts interpretation and customer service.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist customers, both in-person and over the phone, with identifying and sourcing the correct parts for their vehicles
  • Process sales orders and handle cash and card transactions
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock management
  • Participate in ongoing training to expand your product knowledge
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to learn and expand your automotive knowledge
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role is desirable but not essential
  • Valid driver's licence (essential for parts collection and delivery)
  • Basic computer skills including data entry and inventory management systems
  • Year 12 completion or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Eligibility to work in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge or aptitude for understanding automotive components (highly desirable)
