Key Responsibilities - As the Assistant Advisor (Social Media), you will be an active member of the multi-disciplinary external affairs unit comprising of social media, media and digital content teams that contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the department's external communication function.
The social media team delivers critical information and messaging to business partners, industry and the public. In this role, you will develop and deliver integrated and responsive digital communication outcomes that elevate TMR's brand, manage organisational risk and contribute to departmental business priorities and strategic objectives.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Team Operations: Assist with the daily activities of the social media team and collaborate with other Strategic Communication Unit teams including media, digital content, organisational communications and marketing to ensure timely and accurate delivery of integrated communication services.
• Integrated Communications Expertise: Research and assist with the preparation of engaging content and materials using contemporary practices and platforms for external communication, for example digital content and campaigns, and social media posts.
• Social Media Campaign Management: Create, schedule, publish, optimise and report on paid social media campaigns, with a focus on improving performance and delivering outcomes.
• Relationship Management and Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Performance Analysis and Reporting: Assist in conducting research, analysis, and evaluation of stakeholder sentiment; provide support to assess the effectiveness of external communication messaging and campaigns and report findings.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• A criminal history check will be undertaken on the recommended applicant for the role.
Requirements of the role
• Highly Desirable Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, corporate affairs, or similar, or at least five years of experience in a similar role.
• Social Media Experience: Demonstrated experience producing engaging content for social media channels.
• Relationship Management and Engagement Skills: Demonstrates stakeholder engagement and management abilities.
• Organisational Abilities: Effective organisational, resource, and time managemen skills.
• Acumen and Emotional Intelligence: Developed business and political acumen and emotional intelligence.
