IEPro are currently working with a respected civil and mining contractor to assist them in finding an experienced WHS Advisor to join their team on a major regional project in NSW FIFO of Brisbane. This organisation has an excellent reputation for delivering large-scale infrastructure and mining projects safely, efficiently, and with a people-first culture.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workplace Health and Safety Advisor to support a high-performing project team on an attractive 8:6 roster. Both travel days are paid workdays, providing excellent balance and reward for time away.

You'll play a key role ensuring safety standards, culture, and compliance are upheld across site, while contributing to a collaborative and supportive project environment.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Providing on-site WHS support, coaching, and leadership to site teams
  • Facilitating risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • Partnering with project leadership to proactively manage key health and safety risks
  • Delivering WHS initiatives, training, and continuous improvement activities
  • Supporting the implementation of safety systems and wellbeing programs
  • Promoting a "Safety Differently" mindset and driving engagement across crews

About You

Our client is seeking a passionate and self-motivated WHS Advisor with:

  • Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or higher)
  • Civil construction or mining project experience
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence in using digital reporting and audit tools
  • A team-focused attitude and commitment to fostering a positive safety culture
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination including alcohol and drug screening
