Purpose;
The Wholesale Credit Analyst is responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of businesses and commercial clients seeking financing or credit services from a financial institution. The role involves analysing financial statements, assessing risk, and providing recommendations on credit decisions.
In this role you will have the opportunity to grow your knowledge of Wholesale Credit through supporting lending decisions, ensuring compliance with credit policies and mitigating potential risks and delivery of reports for all varying levels of stakeholders, standardisation of tools & templates for the Wholesale Credit team.
Responsibilities;
Leverage available data to provide quality and professional risk analysis on all new, existing, and proposed counterparty transactions for credit.
Partnering with the sales channel and engaging directly with customers in a productive and relationship focused manner.
Add value and meaningful guidance in deal discussions and negotiations with Commercial teams and customers.
Collecting, reviewing, and evaluating periodic financial data and wholesale audit performance data.
Assessing counterparty behaviours relating to credit limit utilisation (bailment), stock aging profile, payment performance.
Administration of account excesses (temporary over limits).
Contributing to the ongoing maintenance of wholesale portfolio hygiene which involves regular assessment and review of counterparty risk ratings.
Supporting and strengthening the risk culture throughout the business.
Qualifications;
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Law, or a related field.
Working towards or completion of CPA / CA / CFA preferred.
Experiences;
Credit experience in Wholesale Automotive, Financial Services or Commercial Banking
Commercial lending experience preferred.
Sound credit and financial analysis skills.
Effective business acumen and Automotive industry awareness
Proven ability to operate efficiently within a team environment and build lasting relationships externally and internally within the Group.
Advanced communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
Proficient in MS 365 Office Suite (in particular PowerPoint, Excel)
