At EnviroTec Horticultural Structures, we've been designing and building industry-leading shadehouses and tunnel houses for nearly 40 years. Our structures are trusted by commercial growers across Australia, and we take pride in the durability, craftsmanship, and service we provide.

We're now searching for a motivated and experienced Leading Hand to take ownership of exciting new projects—on-site and in the field.

Your Impact as a Leading Hand

As the on-site leader, you'll guide a team of skilled builders while ensuring the smooth execution of greenhouse projects. You'll act as the main liaison between clients, project managers, and crew—ensuring the job stays on track, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing day-to-day job site operations
  • Communicating regularly with clients about project progress
  • Setting the pace and motivating your team to perform
  • Taking initiative and adjusting plans to keep things moving
  • Ensuring materials, concrete, and scheduling needs are met
  • Completing and submitting job paperwork and approvals
  • Getting client sign-offs or project manager approvals
  • Keeping the company vehicle organized and job-ready

What We're Looking For

We're after someone with a strong track record in hands-on construction who also:

  • Thinks on their feet and solves problems quickly
  • Communicates clearly with customers and the crew
  • Has experience leading teams and organizing workflows
  • Understands construction with steel, shadecloth, and concrete
  • Can handle paperwork and keep a clean, safe site
  • Holds a current Manual Driver's Licence
  • Forklift, EWP, or mini digger experience is a bonus

Work Conditions

You'll need to be:

  • Physically fit for manual labor
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather
  • Available to travel for project work as needed
