Hutchies is looking for a skilled and experienced Contract Administrator to join our dedicated Southport team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role will support the Icon Cancer Care projects, including:

  • St Vincent's project in Ipswich
  • Subiaco project in Western Australia

You'll start with support from a Senior Contract Administrator and gradually step into the sole CA role on these projects. While the projects are modest in value (under $7 million), they're highly complex modular builds that demand strong collaboration, sharp attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

As a Contract Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of Subcontracts and associated Subcontract documentation
  • Processing invoices
  • Document control
  • Work closely with the project team, including site personnel
  • Undertake site visits when required
  • Assist in defect management
  • Preparation of monthly reports
  • Prepare cost forecasts, monitor financial status, and prepare cash flow statements
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers and consultants.
  • Liaise with client regarding progress claims to Head Contract
  • Administration of Head and Subcontracts, Supply Agreements and Purchase Orders
  • Maintaining and managing variations, EOT and procurement registers

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in the respective field for this role

  • 2 - 4 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of market conditions, construction techniques, and industry standards
  • Ability to work in a team environment and have initiative when working independently
  • Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders
  • A down-to-earth, fun, friendly and professional approach to your work
