The Role

We are seeking highly skilled senior software engineers with a deep understanding of application development. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to interpret requirements, proactively design solutions, implement, test and deliver them. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding solutions through the software development lifecycle from requirements to testing.

While you will not be responsible for determining the early stage requirements, you will be expected to identify gaps in the requirements and work collaboratively with the team to resolve the best approach. The Pay Advantage team boasts a strong testing division, but it is the responsibility of each developer to create their own unit and automation tests before submitting to the quality assurance team.

As an independent thinker, you will excel in this role with the support of a collaborative team and the appropriate tools at your disposal. This senior position is suited for those who take pride in their work, are passionate about delivering quality results, and thrive in ownership roles.

Your primary responsibilities will include early feature analysis, feasibility testing, contributing to requirements gathering with business analysts, designing solutions (including wireframes, workflows, and architecture), performing and receiving code/peer reviews and pull requests, and conducting testing (including unit, integration, and automation testing).

Customer needs drive many of our requirements, making them diverse and often requiring detailed technical specifications. Many of our stories will involve new features or improvements, which will require careful thought and design to ensure their success.

You will work alongside a team of senior developers, testers, dev-ops, support, sales, and product owners. While support will be available when needed, you will be responsible for delivering solutions independently. This role is perfect for those who relish a challenge and are eager to contribute at all levels.
