About the Role

Are you keen to secure a part time, fixed term opportunity working with the CFA where you can showcase your strong administrative skills? This Administrator Learning and Development vacancy will provide you with an insight into the Learning and Development team and may be the next step in your career.

Based in Ararat, this position works across districts and travel between the district offices will be required (transport supplied). Reporting to the Lead; Learning and Development, you will work closely with the volunteers and the Learning and Development Coordinators with a focus on the administration for Learning and Development activities within the region. Overall, you will contribute to the delivery of learning and training programs to enhance brigade capability. We are offering the flexibility to choose your own working days and hours (total of 29 hours per week).

A day in the life of the Administrator Learning and Development will consist of:

  • Administrative requirements including support to meetings, including agenda preparation, venue and catering
  • Providing administrative support for the preparation of high-quality documentation, data and training material
  • Providing administrative support to database and systems management
  • Contributing to the administration of training instructor and training course scheduling
  • Managing communication and correspondence to support the Frontline Learning & Development Team
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external clients

About You

The person we are looking for will be keen to join a small but dynamic team that will provide you with the ability to apply your array of skills to a variety of learning and development tasks. The position is located on-site at the Ararat District 16 CFA office.

Crucial to your success in this role will be your adaptability and positive, friendly demeanour. The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator with proven skills in drafting documents, correspondence and reports. You will demonstrate sound skills in MS Office, database management and ideally have some exposure to financial systems.

You will have strong attention to detail, be thorough and accurate combined with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
