What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our Kinder Team (3-5yo multiage room) at Flemington Child Care Co-operative. This is a permanent full-time position. We are looking for someone with a positive mindset, a genuine love for working with children and families, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.

What You'll Be Doing

· Supporting the Kinder Teacher to implement engaging and developmentally appropriate educational programs that support the holistic development of children · Fostering a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages children's creativity, curiosity, and self-expression · Observing and documenting children's progress, and using this information to plan and adapt activities to meet their individual needs · Collaborating with parents and caregivers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to each child's learning and wellbeing · Maintaining a safe and clean learning environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations · Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

· A Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent) · A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) · Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training · A current Mandatory Reporting Certificate · At least two-year experience working with kinder age group · A solid understanding of early childhood theories, the VEYLDF, EYLF, and NQS · A solid understanding of planning cycle · Commitment to the Child Safe Standards · Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create engaging, play-based learning experiences · Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills · Sound written and verbal English language skills
